Shopify Instagram DM Automation
Build the campaign from your Shopify catalog, not a copied URL.
Connect your store and pick the product from a grid. Stampede fills in the destination link, tags the campaign, and hands you the product image.
Setting up a comment to DM campaign takes about a minute, and roughly forty seconds of it is tab management. Open the store in another window, find the product, copy the URL, come back, paste it, squint at it to make sure it is the right variant.
Do that for one product and it is nothing. Do it for a twelve-product drop on a Sunday night and you will get one of them wrong.
Pick the product instead of the link
Connect Shopify on the Socials tab and a Build Campaign From row appears in the campaign form. Click the Shopify button and instead of a URL field you get your own catalog: a searchable, paginated grid of product images.
Click the product you want. It highlights. Add your keyword and launch. The destination URL is set from that product automatically, and you never typed a link at all.
Pick the product. The link fills itself in.
Creating Campaigns with Your Shopify Store
What gets filled in for you
- The destination URL, taken from the product you selected.
- A campaign tag, added automatically so every campaign built from your store is grouped and filterable later. You can edit or remove tags in the campaign editor.
- The product image, ready to grab. After you launch, open the campaign and you will see a thumbnail with a Copy Image URL button. Paste that into the Image URL field under DM Customizations if you want the product picture in the DM. It is one click, not automatic, so the DM only carries an image when you decide it should.
The keyword stays yours to choose, which is the one part worth thinking about anyway.
The URL field has not gone anywhere
Plenty of campaigns should not point at a product page. A bundle, a collection, a landing page you built for a launch, an affiliate link, a waitlist. For all of those, just do not click the platform button, or click it again to close the picker, and the standard destination URL field comes back exactly as it was.
The picker is there for the common case. It does not take the manual option away.
Keeping the catalog current
Listings are pulled from your store and refreshed regularly, cached for about ten minutes, so new products show up quickly. If you added something in the last few minutes and cannot see it yet, that is why.
If you launch without selecting anything, you will get a reminder to pick a product first rather than a campaign pointed at nothing.
Not on Shopify?
The same picker works with Etsy, Fourthwall and Uscreen, and with Podcast RSS, Substack and Beehiiv for episodes and newsletter issues. Buttons only appear for platforms you have actually connected, so the form stays clean if you only sell in one place.
Where this actually shows up
Not in the minute you saved. In the drop where all twelve keywords went to the right products, on the night you were setting them up at eleven with the launch going out at nine.
Comment to DM automation only earns its keep when the link at the end of it is correct. This is the part that makes sure it is.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does Stampede Social integrate with my Shopify store?
Integrating Shopify is entirely plug-and-play. You simply connect your store under the "Socials" tab in your Stampede Social dashboard. Once authorized, Stampede securely syncs with your live product catalog, replacing standard manual text link input boxes with a visual, searchable grid of your store's active inventory items.
How fast do new Shopify products show up in the Stampede campaign builder?
Your synchronized Shopify catalog data updates automatically. To optimize speed, listings are cached for approximately 10 minutes. If you have launched a brand new item in your Shopify dashboard within the last few minutes and don't see it yet, simply wait a brief moment for the cache to cycle through and refresh.
Does the automated catalog link handle specific Shopify product variants?
Yes, and that is precisely how Stampede eliminates human tracking errors. When you select a product from your catalog grid, Stampede pulls the exact structural checkout destination URL. This eliminates the multi-tab headache of copying links, switching windows, and accidentally pasting the wrong variant URL or directing traffic to broken product loops.
Can I include the Shopify product image inside the Instagram DM?
Absolutely. Once you select your product and launch a comment-to-DM campaign, your campaign overview screen will display a thumbnail with a "Copy Image URL" button. Simply paste that link into the Image URL field under your DM Customization settings to instantly drop the live product photo directly into your user's inbox.
Can I still link campaigns to Shopify collections, waitlists, or custom bundle pages?
Yes. The catalog grid picker is built to streamline standard product promotions, but it never takes away your manual flexibility. If you are pointing an Instagram campaign toward a landing page, a collection, a custom bundle, or a waitlist, just leave the platform selection button unchecked. The standard destination URL input box returns instantly so you can paste any custom link you prefer.
